fr after moving?

Anyone had an Amex Fr after moving? I'm generally a low spender lately and tried to charge 100 for dinner last night for the family. Charge declined so luckily had a cap1 backup that went through without a problem. Called Amex today and my accounts are suspended and need to sign the form etc if I want to keep them.

My score increased 30 points from last month from paying off some stuff, after dropping 20 over the past few months, so I'm still ahead score wise. Ex is 702. Other than that only other change was that I moved and updated my address with Amex. Would moving cause it?

No, moving would not cause an FR.  By form , do you mean the 4506-T?  If so, that's not a FR.  The form is for income verification.  Something in your spending caused your account to be flagged.

If the accounts are suspended, and they ask for a 4506-T, that IS an FR, right?  Income verification via 4506-T is part of an FR.  4506-T can also be asked for a CLI request, but accounts are not suspended.

Re: fr after moving?

Oooohhhhh sorry about that. The dreaded Amex FR.

Are you planning on signing the 4506-T?

Keep us updated.

You're right, I missed the accents being suspended.  Definitely an FR

It is an FR because it happened to me recently, after moving from point A to point B  but the same town and same street only the number is different. After charching all my expenses on the card due to moving all my acts suspended asking for the same stupid form.

Re: fr after moving?

As annoying as my tiny BCP credit line has been, I swear it just might be a blessing.  Having a $1k credit line makes me use the card only for groceries and the occasional trip to the mall... and that's it.  I am well aware Amex is "within their rights" to ask for tax returns, but I just can't see myself ever actually providing that level of information just to retain a credit card... but that's just me.

This just reinforces my desire to keep my cards diversified, and to always hang on to my Capital One card.  Like the OP, once or twice over the years I've used it when another card had issues, and it 'just worked'.

Was the decline for a charge or revolver card?
