Yep, I had my first fraud ever two weeks ago. Citi Thank You Premier. Apparently I booked two stays back to back of just over 800 bucks each at a Polish resort, of all places. When I called Citi, the CSR asked me if I had ever used Apple Pay, which, of course I had. I had also eaten out about three days before I noticed the fraudulent activity. Citi was great about it and in about 10 days the charges were reversed and I had my new card.
Sorry to hear that! Glad the alerts helped.
@Anonymous wrote:just wanna share that i had my first fraud. good thing i had my phone and email alerts set up (on this case, 'card not present' alert). called CS immediately and now am just awaiting for my replacement card.
so to all, here's an unsolicited advice.... please setup your alerts!!!
getting my first fraud was definitely a wake up call! i used to think these alerts were redundant! ....well, not anymore! =p
Another reason to check my accounts at least 3 times a day, even with an alert.......
Sorry it happeded to u, 24
this is my first replacement amex card so i figured i'll share some update:
- last 5 of the new number already showing up.
- they've also automatically updated my card info in android pay. *that was neat!
- everything else looked/stayed the same.
but here's the alarming part....
i lost/missing all my SAVED amex offers!?! i called about it and was told it would show up after i activated my replacement card. 'was told to call again if it doesn't. i will keep you guys posted as this is somewhat disconcerting.

Thanks for the advice! I haven't set the alerts before because I thought they'd be annoying. Looks like I'll be busy tomorrow online to make those changes to protect myself.
Me too! I have some set up but not all.
