@Anonymous wrote:My advise on the Credit pulls is to dispute with the insurance carrier via certified letter. They can remove the inquiries without your credit report going into a fraud status. You might consider making a call first. Maybe they think they have a reason. Or possibly, they might go ahead and delete some inquiries. If not, then continue with the certified letter.
If you dispute through EQ and they do place a fraud alert on you file, it's usually a temporary 90 day status. So it depends on whether you intend to apply for anything after the fraud alert is placed on your file. I am not sure how a potential creditor would react to a fraud alert. Maybe someone here knows.
I have disputed the only 1 bad item on my file (a mistake about student loans) 2 times and they have never set my report to fraud status. I was disputing a late payment though and not an actual inquiry. Is that why it wasnt a fraud alert?
To the OP, congrats on getting approved for Chase!! That is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
would say truthfully, that it would not hurt you to spend the $24.99 a month for a month or two for your 3 real scores here at myfico. You can cancel but be aware they don't credit for partial months, so cancel early if you intend to. The only bad thing I have noticed about myfico is they don't show all the inquiries, mine only go back to last september. Maybe they only show the ones that impact since after 6 months they dont hurt your score.
How much credit do you actually need right now? With your income I would think you could easily handle managing multiple cards. I dunno about discover and what they like to see. I know they denied me last year with scores of 600-620 but only because my care credit was at 90% util. The discover would be a great one to get though because they have been giving us CLI's twice a month!
do you think i can get approved for a couplke more cards right now even though transunion just went down 30 points? which do you guys think i should try?

Have you checked Capital One's pre-qual yet? If not go check it and see what comes up.
Yes, I think you have a good shot at approvals for 2 more cards.
Listen...
It is more important right now to get 2 more cards than to be denied. If you are denied right now it is not a big deal in your long term goals. It is definitely worth a roll of the dice because if you are approved it would have a tremendous positive impact on your long term goals.
Take the shot and apply for the Discover IT and a Cap1 card.
You can try the prequalification to see what is offered you but regardless, app for 2 new cards.
You can do this!
so i tried Bnof A and was denied and even tried Recon w/ no luck.... should i try anyone else and if so who? I dont want to have another pull for nothing and look credit hungry...
