Because I always think I know what I am doing, in order to spend down my URs at 1.5cpp, I bought a $400+ gift card at wholefoods.com on my CSR. Unfortunately, and I should have known, this doesn't count as a grocery purchase. But when I asked Chase why I only got 1%, they explained it was the coding and then gave me 5% anyway.
Really wasn't expecting that, as usually there is all that language that the issuer isn't responsible for coding....
I sent money via Western Union once, thinking I was using debit card, but it was Freedom ( in my defense, those were two worst insomnia weeks ever).
I got $10.00 fee (clearly spelled in cardmember agreement), then they refunded it two months later.
The only contact I had with them about it was asking if that "cash advance" took away grace period ( forgot I was in 0% promo).
They can be quite helpful if one makes their words sweet...in case we have to eat them later.
Chase is so NICE!
Oh, yesterday Chase app and website didn't work for a couple of hours, couldn't even log in, fingerprint login got disabled, all sorts of shenanigans happened with my accounts, but somehow during all that...Amex managed to take a payment made at 4 pm at 6 pm while everything was down
Now we know why Chase is doing CLDs, Amex sneaking in, taking extra CLs.
Sadly, that's not the weirdest theory you'll read here today
