they won't raise my limit so i can put my sk trip vacation on the card. I decided im using the card still and if its not at 3k in july when my double cash ends. I'm sock drawing it and charging nothing on it. Until they try to get my attention. 4 friends, 468$ each, not including rentals. Thats only lodging and lift tickets for 4 days of skiing and 5 nights.
i'm not pleased at all.
I'm going to jay peak if you were wondering the best mountain on th east coast . will be there from january 3rd to the 7th.
Discover can be different but when they do start the CLI door swinging.....It will GROW
Have fun on the ski trip
If your cap is increased for your ski trip, but you still get just 1% cash back, would you consider that growth?

With 700+ scores, you could app and be approved for a plethora of cards that will start you off ten times higher than Discover.
Yeah like I've said before. Stop obsessing over Discover and get some new cards like DeeBee78 said.
With your current scores you could get Cabelas (eq) Compass NBA Am Ex (ex), Comenity Credo Visa (eq),Double Cash (ex and eq),Macy's and Bloomingdale's Am Ex (ex), Barclay's Arrival (tu), Stash Visa (tu).
Those cards will all give you good sl's.
We can't change Discover. It's like trying to make a bad relationship work. It won't. Just move on. When they increase the Discover, they increase it. Just use it for small purchases like I do and focus on cards that will give you more.
Cabelas will give you $5000-$7000, Compass the same or more.My wife got $7000 on Credo with low 700 scores and $3500 on Arrival with a 680 TU. Macy's and Bloomingdale's Am Ex $3000. I got $3000 on DC with scores of 710-720.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
Discover just stopped giving me 31 day CLI's, so perhaps they have changed their rules yet again. Hard to say for sure.

Creditors don't just raise limits to get your attention or just so you can charge some expected items for a trip. The limit you qualify for is determined based on your credit and income. If you're not pleased then look into addessing their concerns with your credit.

As always, it is never just about score.
Discover also isn't know to be the leader pack in giving the highest limit on your profile either.
