Hi,
I applied and approved for Chase Slate credit card this morning. Is there any way to get credit line increase without new credit report pull? customer service/credit analyst says that there is no such way but I have seen people doing it here.
Please help. They pulled my credit report today so I don't understand they pull again
Thanks
Chase is pull-happy.
Requesting a CLI, whether immediately upon approval or later down the road will generally lead to another HP, unfortunately.

You probably won't be able to request a higher CL initially. What limit were you approved for? And yes, it is possible to get a CLI without a Hard Pull. Some lenders review your information regularly through a Soft Pull and can award you an increase without taking a hit to your score. From what I hear, Chase is pretty much always will pull your report for a CLI, but this might be YMMV for each individual.
And are you saying that they pulled your CR twice in one day? Was one a hard pull while the other was a soft pull? Chase usually will pull all 3 bureaus' CRs as well, just so you know.

Chases Auto CLI are Soft pulls .... Chase's CLI asked by consumer is 99.99% of the time HP's but i have read of posters who gotten SP's
how ofthen auto CLI is applied? maybe I should wait for auto CLI

YMMV
Some people have gotten it as quick as their 6th Statement or 3rd ( don't quote me on that)? and Some has never gotten one in years.
usually the only way to get an insant CLI and not see another pull done is when the computer pulled 2 reports automatically with the app... chase usually pulls Ex for the app and TU for recon or CLI but sometimes the app pulls EX and TU to begin with so you could probably recon with one of those (I think some people were told another pull but since 2 had been done, they didn't see an additional)
but it's rare for people to come out with approval and successful recon CLI and only get 1 hp but yes it's been done.
You might get lucky and the credit analyst will just review your current CR and give you a CLI, but it's rare.

i received a chase 2x auto CLI after 2nd statement(9 weeks after opening card) on my low starting limit($500) with heavy use, less than 10% utilization, and multiple payments per month.
slate is a BT card, what's the amount you want to transfer? what's your starting limit?
either make it work and let it grow naturally or gamble and take the pull to try and match your needs/highest limit
When I got my CSP I was approved for a CL of $9000. I sent them a secure message saying I would just use my Amex instead if they couldn't raise my limit to match what was on my SWA card at the time. They replied back that they had reconsidered and raised my CL to $14,000. No HP. Since then I have reallocated more of the combined CL to CSP to a total CL of $22,000.
