They sell BB RZ Platinum and BB Card to Cap 1. They didn't sell my HSBC Cash Back Platinum to Cap1.
Ron.
How do you know they didn't sell it? What site do you login now? And what does it say? I can't tell if my HSBC Platinum MC is moved or not.

They didn't sell my HSBC Cash Back Platinum to Cap1. I logged into hsbccreditcard.com and it still said my card is still issued by HSBC USA. In addition, they sent me a new card. The letter said it will not change to Cap1. They changed the name from HSBC Bank Nevada to HSBC USA. It didn't mention anything about Cap1 taking over. The account stayed the same.
Ron.
Where does it list the issuer? I can't find it after I login via hsbccreditcard.com Thanks
You don't have to log-in and it is on the bottom of the page. It looks like this:

Will this mean new numbers to call to get help? I was already planning to cancel this card, but from what you guys are saying I might as well. I have one cli in the nearly two years I had this card. My limit has been stuck at $600 forever and there is a stupid annual fee.
Will this affect all HSBC cards? I have one that is Orchard Bank which seems to be run by HSBC. I plan to cancel this one as well.

i remember [you] saying that the letter did say it was changing to hsbc usa. but i don't recall you saying the letter stated that hsbc bank platinum credit would not move to capital one.

any time you get a card with a limit like 400 dollars with an annual fee to boot from hsbc/capone, you can bet your bottom dollar that this card is a subprime rebuilder and is not intended to grow, even if it is a hsbc usa bank card. you are better off at this point to close this and if you are still interested in hsbc, there is a backdoor app that will approve you for platinum prime credit if you have good credit.
