The general consensus around here is that they review accounts every 3 months for CLI. I kept mine for 4 and never got one so I canceled it.

If you want to really see what pulls, hard or soft, that Target is making, just order you full CR from annualcreditreprot.com.  It will show all pulls, including the softies.  I think they are full of bull feces.

They're not full of it.  They soft my EX like clockwork every three months, and have done so ever since I got the card.

No CLIs for me, either, BTW.  I've given up trying to figure out what makes them happy.

My third payment just posted. Then would I know before I post the 4th? I have charged about $140 all together but PIF each month.

In my experience, the soft pull comes about two weeks before the statement drops, but I don't know if that's just me or if they are consistent for everyone.  From what I've seen, the CLI comes (if it's going to come at all) when either the third, the sixth, the ninth, or the twelfth statement cuts.  It doesn't matter when your payment posts.  You'll have to wait until the next statement to find out.

Re: i called target today to get a credit limit increase and they said!!!!!!!!

For me I got the target card in April 2007. I put it in the desk drawer.....never used it. In November I got the visa and the limit was $1000. It was an automatic thing.

Personally I don't live close enough to target to shop there or I would have used it and paid it. But for me it was about it being inactive. Seems they wanted me to use it, so they automatically converted it to visa.

Just my experience.

Well the third has come and gone. There just isn't a good reason why I shouldn't see that cli.

I feel your pain.  Believe me.  I'm in my ninth billing cycle now and still at $200.  The last time they pulled my EX they saw a score around 741, no baddies, and must have also seen that they're my lowest CL by a long shot.  Yet they still think $200 is all I deserve.  When it comes to CLIs they seem pretty random to say the least.

Very random Cheddar, especially since you have such an amazing score!

Have you tried calling them now you are in the 700 club? Just curious, since you obviously do not need them (you have gotten some excellent cards lately), but you actually use the card and like the benefits.
