is Doing CLI's and APP's during day better??

Was wondering if it is better to do APP sprees and CLI's during the Day then the night?? Part is ability for Recons but also the ability for better approval odds. I am thinking if you get instant approvals it dosent matter day or night. But for people on the credit edge for approval I am thinking day is better. Opinions??

Access to credit analysts is enhanced during regular banking hours. More immediate feed back if a recon is required during the day. As to success rates for approvals, no clue on day or night. Granted CRs are generally available 24/7 however they are usually not able to deal with such issues successfully.

I probably have borderline approval status and I apped for the Citi thank you card at 2 AM EST Saturday morning and Chase Freedom at 7PM that evening both instant approvals. If you know your going to get approved instantly i would say no difference but only do it during the day if you think youll get declined

Also, remember some app'd aren't available during certain hours due to "maintenance".

Example: Discover online app process isn't available midnight to 4am (or something like that) so it will allow you to submit an app but will not process it and thus not an instant decision so you will have to call or just wait.

I believe they only do it on Sundays though so your safe for the other 6 days

Approvals odds would't be affected.  Your credit is your credit regardless of the time of day of the app.  A creditor isn't going to have easier approval criteria based on time of day.

I Go onto my account all the time and only time i had seen maintenance is on Sundays between Midnight and 6 AM sundays EST

I mentioned online application process not online accounts. I can log into my account anytime as well, but it states somewhere on the site (I know b/c this happened to me) that the online app process is unavailable during the hours of ~midnight to 4am ET. At least that's how it was a couple months ago, but I haven't checked since.

My Amex BCP was instantly approved around 3a.m.
