i do shop there but not for me tho. mostly presents for mom sister and girlfriends...thats how ive gotten the platinum.

If that is how they do that, it is really silly. I had the platinum card when I applied for the American Express version I believe. I am sure I had not spent 2500 at Macys when I asked to be considered for that card.

Which is unfortunate. I think they should just give regular cashback. The certificates must also be used in the store, and cannot be used online. I may not be using it much after learning that. There is not a Macys store for at least an hour.

and you got the white one or the black?
I got the black one, and I really think you would too since the threshold is lower on the American Express version.
