Wow nothing like coming back from a vacation and finding out the car needs $$$ repairs. Now I'm really thankful for the credit cards, but hate what the 90% utilization did to my score!
Oh well nowhere to go but up!
YEP up is in your future!

Hey life happens! You will get ahead of this.
I know the feeling. HIt up my Lowes card for $2.8k of a $3k line and it hurts for sure.

Know the feeling quite well. When I was going to Costa Rica this winter, I had a $2500 balance out of a total available CL of $3000. Needless to say it crushed my scores LOL. But hey I've been chipping away since February and I'm down to 16% utl and my scores have gone up a ton.
really it shouldnt matter too much unless you plan to app soon, or if you have a bank like barclays that softs you all the time
This is the PERFECT example of why I always say everyone needs to strategically have at least 1 credit card with a low APR. STUFF HAPPENS, and facing a Chase-level 22.9% APR will make these situations that much more difficult.
