my fidelity amex is still working... when will it not work?

I am still holding on to the amex version.. and I managed to used a couple amex offer with it before it goes invalid..

So when excatly will the card be invalid? when will the balance on my existing card transfer to the new card? i was thinking ... if now i have a high balance 3k, and then i activeate my new elan fiance version, will i have 6k (my limit is 6k...) or 3k?

You will have a 3,000 balance on a 6,000 card @ Elan.

The transfer will be complete after July 26th.

You can activate the Elan version as soon as you get it. The Amex wont' be invalid until July 26th. Any spend you put on it, even if you have the Elan card active, will accrue on the Amex and will transfer to Elan on the 26th.
