Changed my thinking and way of life Credit crazy now Lol
Agreed. Just activated my new card Wednesday and the only thing I did was go fill up my brother's car with gas. The old me would have taken everyone out to dinner, but instead I am going to hold on until I get my other card paid down because THAT card is my dining card (better rewards). This card is my gas and groceries card and it is not to my benefit to mix the two.
When did I turn into a credit nerd?

Totally changed how I manage and think about credit. I dedicate 4 of my CC approvals to you all. Cheers!
Cheers Lol
Boy oh boy is this the truth! I am constantly trying to figure out which card to use to get the best rewards. I've gotten a lot better over the last couple of months but with the rotating categories sometimes I forget which is which. I think it's time to create a some notes on my phone so that I can make sure I don't miss out on anything.
It's so true that it's not even funny. DH thinks I'm obsessed and a little nuts. I don't know how people manage more than 10+ cards! (Technically, I have 10 cards but 2 of them are store cards that I'm seriously thinking about closing) But I finally have proper prime cards now and I realize I have to be very strategic in my spending to maximize the points. At least that's something fun I can focus on while I'm just paying off debt. Somehow it makes it a little more interesting. But myFico has made me look forward to paying my bills and seeing my credit report!

Old me:
Let's go get dinner (feelings of relief that I have extra credit).
******************
New me:
If I carry a balance, is it interest free?
How many cards will have balances?
Should I pay in full before the statement cuts or after?
How soon will it show up on my credit report?
How will this affect my overall util?
How old are my accounts?
Can I get the best car rates now?
How long should I garden accounts?
What is the purpose of each and every card that I have?
How should I nourish the banking relationship to maximize my credit, rewards, and financial position?
How soon will creditors be soft pulling my credit and checking on how I'm doing?

All of the above crossed my mind in about 3 minutes after opening the envelope. Darn, I wish that I had found the myfico forum years earlier. I think that with good health and planning, that I have fixed my debt woes for good.
Thanks all.
I feel the same way!
Same here. My attitude towards credit has totally changed in a positive way since joining myfico.

I was worried about my DW thinking I'm going crazy, but she actually told me that she was glad I was focusing on saving wherever possible. I guess I've been a poor saver, and this is why I'm surprised how much my thought processes have changed over the last 60 days. Hopefully, I'll get over kicking myself for past spending habits soon.
Now, instead of thinking about what I can buy, I'm thinking about the Amex 3x CLI and then Chase Sapphire to help with travel. Very cool.
