HSBC Pre-App Link:

www.hsbcapply.com/start/hsbccreditcard

Edited because my HTML skills are not what they used to be. Smiley Happy

Re: need pre-app sites

That HSBC pre-app link looks too much like a hard inquiry. They ask for employer, address, income and have an agreement at the bottom that you are agreeing to let them view your credit info. I'd say that's a hard.

I myself would never try it anyway...HSBC ('nuff said).... but for people that might need it or want it for some reason....be careful, looks like a hard.

Re: need pre-app sites

But I was bitten on HSBC's pre-app site for Best Buy. Others were using it and backing out, but somehow I wound up with a BB store card. The penalty for curiosity.

Nice CL, but I sure don't need it. I still haven't figured out exactly where I pulled the trigger. There wasn't a box that said "clicking this authorizes HSBC to pull your credit," but bingo, they did. Just a cautionary sad tale.

The site qualified me for a card. No hard. They were generic HSBC cards listed no store cards so I wonder how you got where you got.

Re: need pre-app sites

I dont think there is one.  I could be wrong.  Just hope a pre-app pops up in your mailbox or bite the bullet and apply, I guess.

I hate this thread!  I went to BofA's site and found I'm "preapproved" for $4500, which would be my highest CL....

I'm afraid I would have to cave in with an offer like this from BOA. If you don't apply, you will become my new hero.Smiley Wink
