new Amex card 3x CLI rule if you have existing card question..

So I have an existing amex revolver that I did a 180 day CLI on about 2 months ago.  I just got another new Amex revolver, is the 61 day rule still valid or is it after the 180x days from the last CLI of the old card?

The new rule is that you don't need to wait until 61+ day to ask for a CLI. But as you have requested a CLI in the recent past month, I would recommand you to wait for another month or even another 4 months...

ok. its 180 days for cli across all cards no matter how many you add. and no matter how new. from your last cli it will be 180 days.

Have you read the 3x CLI Guide?

http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Card-Applications/The-Definitive-Amex-3X-CLI-Guide/td-p/18110...

When does an acccount become eligible for CLI?
===========================================================
Amex does NOT increase an account's credit limit during the first 60 days after it has been OPENED, or for at least 6 months from the last credit limit increase

60 days appears to be no longer correct but 180 still applies.
