high? it's $25 a year? seems cheap to me I see people (including me) paying $39 for a cap one rewards card, i see people people being extorted with $79 for a $350 CL, I see monthly fees for of $6 a month plus $48 annual fees.

$25 is cheap and you get a limit that grows with you,  AMEX green is $95, Gold is $125. and there platinum is $475.

i ment the gold card was high. not the zync and  i am one of those people that has the $7 a month $48 a year and plan on closing that card this year as it is no longer needed.

I think it's a great plan. My only question is the AMEX gold going to be that good to you? You have the backdating with Zync, for when you get another AMEX. So that's locked in. There are other cards that might be more rewarding than AMEX gold (I think the Gold's fee is a bit high unless someone is going to use it very heavily). Unless you want to add it so it boosts your AAoA, then I understand the choice.  Really depends what perks are important to you also, so I'm not judging, just trying to understand the going for the gold (so to speak lol).  Smiley Happy

From what I know, the charge cards are the easier to get products from AMEX (not as easy as Cap 1 etc by a long shot however, just so I'm clear). The revolvers (credit cards) like Blue, Blue Cash etc etc are a lot harder to get than the charge cards they offer. On top of that, AMEX can be "quirky" to a confusing degree.

Re: paying off credit cards....

I like the AMEX charge cards because they have to be paid off in full every month -- builds discipline! Smiley Wink

Your plan sounds like a good one afbar.  I hope it works out well for you!
