i was preapproved for both cards - im not really understanding what these cards offer rewards wise such as the difference petween petal 1 and petal 2 ... which one is the better card? also is this card worth getting?

This is card is usually for rebuilding . If your lineup is current I would pass.
Pass on both cards like @Jnbmom said.
Don't be tempted just because of a pre approval.
If you have an iPhone, the Apple Card could be a candidate if you have the itch for another card.
You probably need to garden for at least six months if not for eighteen.
@NoMoreE46 @Jnbmom thank you both - i just did the preapporval just to see, wasnt going to go through with it until down the line if the card was worth getting - but yeah ill just stick to my plan of getting the apple card in 6 months ![]()

The Petal 2 will eventually be a 1.5% cashback card once you pay regularly in it, so like a Capital One Quicksilver with similar features (no international fees, etc). That's the one you want. The app you use with it is pretty well designed in my opinion.
I have it because I was rebuilding, it's perfectly fine for what it is, I didn't get a toy limit on it (6k), I got to take it up to 7.8k over time so it's not excessively bucketed.
