It's a MC (I think not a Visa?) offered by Merrick Bank, co-branded with the fine dining establishment of the same name. I think you get some sort of discount on wings with it, but it is mainly used as a stepping-stone card for those moving out of the sub-primes, but not quite yet able to qualify for the big boys (Citi, Chase, etc.) Sort of like WaMu.
And of course the other use is its shock value.

It is a MasterCard issued by Merrick Bank and has the Hooters brand name and logo on it. They are supposedly easy to get, although they turned me down three times and asked me to quit sending them letters of reconsideration. 
I can't get one with a super income and a now super clean credit report but my 19 year old nephew with a part time job got one. So YMMV.

Pappy I feel your pain they denied me several months ago pulled TU my lowest score at that time 613 Fico. I reconned but was unsuccessful. I dont need them now I have BOA , CAP1 Orchard and my Secured CU cc to help me along my way.
