i need all the help and advice i can get
i have went on a way too many inq spree in the last month and a few before that. i am scared that with all these new account openings that some will close my new accounts for 2 many inqs. does anyone have any advise on how to go about this. i know for obvious reasons to garden for at least a year. should i freeze my 3 credit reports so the cos cant look at my inqs or will that hurt me getting any auto cli. ive heard horror stories on barclays i just hit the 5 month mark. finally got a amex and discover and hope they dont change their mind. Should i not try any cli for a year or so out of fear they will close accounts? i prolly have about 25 inqs 21 in last 6 months.

First of all: CALM DOWN. You'll be ok and what's done is done, there isn't a way to "prevent AA" if it's going to happen based on this spree. Oh and the highlighted above won't do anything at all, existing creditors can SP through a freeze as they already have permissible purpose. (They can HP as well if they wanted to). Personally I think you are going to be just fine.

OK THANKS YEA TIME TO GARDEN FOR A YEAR AT LEAST
I've never understood the allure of store cards. I would suggest gardening diligently (pay on time and in full) and see how your FICO fares. Don't close any accounts. Hopefully you won't be tempted again!

this wasn't "actually" a HP right?
stop applying for GE cards for at least 6 months, they will only allow so many approvals within a period of time and you have clearly hit it!
Discover you can check for SP CLI every 90 days, I would not let them proceed for a HP cli for 1 year.
barclay I would not request any CLI for at least a year, they might auto.
the ge store cards you can request online every 4 statements
navy you can ask for cli at 3-6 months
I would not do anything else for at least 6 months.
I would personally not app for anything for 12 months. If you are able to get SP/auto CLI's, great. But I would draw the line there. As others have said, what is done is done. Believe me, we've seen worse! As far as an AA, I think you'll be fine. But you'll defnitely want to try to keep UTL low (as you have been).
My advice...go out and enjoy the nice weather! Spend time with your family and friends! Relax! Life is way too short to worry about things you cannot control (like AA's).
When doing an app spree, if you start getting low CL approvals and denials, it's time to stop. From the looks of it, your TU is really gonna take a beating in INQ, so even CLIs might be difficult for a little while. But what's done is done. If you need to freeze your CRs to get you to stop apping, do it. But, yes, I wouldn't take any HPs for a year, especially not on anything that pulls TU.

That's a good topic for it's own thread. Anyway, store cards are good if they provide a good rewards structure or special financing. They can also play a role in UTIL and are often easier to obtain (definitely comes in handy for rebuilders). My two most used store cards are Target (for the 5% discount) and JCP (mainly for UTIL strategy, although sometimes discounts/rewards/coupons also help).
That aside, getting a store card you won't use or doesn't have a purpose for you is a bad idea.
The feeling is mutual. I went on a spree myself and stopped after I got a second denial. Now I'm just gonna focus on gardening and having lower balances on my main two cards, probably paying one of them off and sparingly using the other ones I got recently.
