I hate Discover because they will not approve me for a card!!  The first time I applied, they offered me a secured card which I did not want and the second time they offered me a joint account which I also did not want. So technically, I could have a card but not on the terms that I want.

They did approve my DH last month for 6K with a collection but a rather thick file and his EQ was a 645 at the time. We just did a PFD on that collection and his EQ rose to a 703. They probably wouldn't approve him now...........

You are certainly entitled to like Barclays better than Discover or vice versa.

However, by your own words it's clear that you deliberately made yourself a "suspicious customer" to Discover by retaliating with all those $11 BTs after they didn't give you what you wanted. Being a disabled vet or an MBA candidate has nothing to do with how Discover treated you. You yourself said you did those BTs to be funny. So be it. If that's your idea of either humor or revenge, then so it is.

But why on earth do you continue to pretend to be a wronged innocent when multiple members here have pointed out the obvious fact that YOU PROVOKED DISCOVER'S ACTION AGAINST YOU?

It's fine to giggle about it, but to suggest you are an innocent victim of Discover when you do those sort of ridiculous things is another matter entirely.

I wouldnt say I dislike them because I have only had the card for 4 months....but, they gave me an $800 CL and I had subsequent apps with other lenders and got at least 2 CLs of $10k each and 2 of $5k each....so I really dont understand why they gave me a toy limit.  Will see what happens when/if CLI occurs.

After reading many different topics on the forum I can totally understand why some people would get frustrated with discover or any other cc company. But for the life of me I cannot understand why some people feel so entitled, and take things so personally. Your talking about a company loaning you money. I can assure you its just business, they don't care who you are or what you do. How would you feel giving out money to strangers. We are not entitled we are indebted.

That's a great way of summing it up too, some people just feel they are entitled to this or that, and the bottom line is no one is.
