No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
If you've carried a balance on a card for awhile and then transfer it to another card issuer, how often does the original card then cut your credit limit (because it figures since you've transferred the balance that you won't be using the original card as much any more?)?
From reading these forums, if it's BofA then often. Otherwise, I'm not sure there's a recognizable pattern...
Thanks for the reply. Yes the card the balance would be transferred from would be BOA. If anybody has any further info or appropriate links that would be greatly appreciated!

I don't see how it figures that you won't be using the card anymore. It frees up the credit for more use.
The CLD is more about the credit risk, than how you use the card. If you have been maxed out with high utilization across the board, you look risker and it is more likely.

I can't seem to find the relevant threads so far, if anybody can point them out or describe the circumstances under which BOA gave you a CLD after doing a balance transfer from a BOA card that would be greatly appreciated.
