possible to get discover miles 3% again?

I have the discover miles which has 3% and I realized today that I don't really want to deal with more than a handful of cards or apply for so many cards because I dont want to keep track of the categories. Is it possible for me to cancel the Miles card after i get my cashback doubled and then reapply for it at a later time to get 3% again? thanks!

Yes you can get double cash back again as doing it again on my IT card although had about 13 months between double cash back on IT cards..  Not sure what the wait time if any is after the 12 months is up for Cash Back match.. Might be 15 months(from first getting card so 3 month lag after year old?) if I recall right so might have to wait 3 months?  Maybe someone else can answer this better, but yes it is possible..  Try their pre-qual site and select travel cards or others and see what comes up if it has been OVER 12 months since you have had the card as only one discover card every 12 months if if pops up for double back for first year you SHOULD be good, but chat it up to confirm.

Yup, 12 months to get the second card (2 max). You won't be able to product change w/in the cash back period so you have to be sure what you want when you apply. I've also heard there is a chance it won't be a HP if you get a pre-approval and you apply after an account review (on your credit report). Enjoy!

I opened a miles card in 3/2015 and did the double miles. Converted it over in 2017 to a regular it card and opened a new it miles and got the double cash promo again. And, no hard pull for the new account! So yes, you can totally do it, and not aware of any minimum waiting period between your original account and a new one.
