premier question

ok i just received a pre approved offer from premier. i know one of the worst! its for their platinumn card.(700cl)

i filed a chap 7 3yrs ago so i'm rebuilding. i have a cap one $500(cl) orchard($300cl) and a new car loan$10000

my scores are fico(EQ)633 TU(623) so i'm on my way. should i go ahead and add the bad cc to my list for now,

or should i seek another cc somewhere else which to understanding its not many to choose from in my case.

and does anyone know which cra they(premier) pull from? Thanks

Re: premier question

+1

Be patient, hang in there and let time do its work. Do NOT add a crap card just for the sake of having another card. What you have now is all you need until your scores move up into the 660-680 range.

How long have you had your current open accounts (the cards and the loan)? Have you had any negatives since the BK? (I'm assuming it's discharged.) What's the reported util on your two cards?

You have your rebuilders; let them continue to do their work for you. Instead of giving tons of money to FP for their rapacious fees, keep building up your emergency funds, and again, let time continue to do its healing.

Re: premier question

i've had orchard for 2yrs and i've had cap one since 1/2010. i just paid orchard off today

so i have a $0 balance with them and my balance with cap one was $132 i just paid $100

so my balance reporting will be $32 and no baddies since the bk whick was dismissed.

thats why i'm surprised my score is where its at today. i had a shaddy attorney so the bk didn't

really work out for me. to be honest i had gotten the bks off my report by dispute, but i hired

a credit repair company and it came back on. so anyway hopefully by next year i'll be in the 700 club!

Re: premier question

You should see a score increase once the new balances update.

Also, once the Cap One hits one year, that will probably help as well. At that point, you might well find that you can qualify for a better card.

Obviously the BK is going to hold you down while it's on there, but it's possible to have good scores while you wait it out. For best scores, you need to control the usage that reports. Again, I think you might see a nice improvement when the one card updates with $0 and the other with 6% util.

Re: premier question

I dont think you need First premier. I hated mine and it was a great day when I canceled. You have some decent cards i'd stick with them.

You already have two cards with MUCH better banks, you SO do not need First Premier in your life.

Re: premier question

Your credit is way too good for First Premiere.    I am sure you have many better uses for the money they will charge you.

That's great! You SO do NOT need those jackasses in your life. I can't wait to boot them out of mine. They had the gall to try and sell me life insurance, LOL.
