I had an American Express card when I worked at a previous company. It was an american express card given to me from my company. I now have my own american express card and I was wondering if i would be able to get the history from when I had the card from work. Is it possible? Thanks
from what i read there are 2 types of corp accounts, 1 where it is never on your credit and your company pays the bill and another that shows on your credit and the statement is sent to your house. if its the latter i would think your may have a chance

I should try to dig into this further to see if I can find any more info. I don't have an AmEx corporate card (just a 'purchasing' card that is in no way ever going to be linked to my credit and is paid automatically by the company each month) - however, I work for a huuuuuge company that basically requires all its managers (of which I am not one) to have a corporate AmEx for travel & other expenses. They're all told that messing up with the card can and will impact their credit negatively (but I've not heard any mention of how it can affect their credit in a GOOD way, which is odd, given that many people working there are expats recently moved from overseas, who would surely be glad to have something to help them build credit) - and I also know that some have their bills sent to work, others have them sent to their home address. It had never occurred to me that the difference in delivery method may make a difference either way.
I'm pretty sure that each and every card is linked to their SSN and any failure to correctly reconcile the account and make sure it's paid on time is going to come back on the employee (as it's their responsibility to submit their expense reports etc, and to not use the card for personal expenses) - so perhaps it doesn't report on your credit unless you mess up?!
It has been awhile since i had the card from my previous company. I know it is not reporting on my credit report and i dont remember if the bill ever came to my house. This was a long time ago. Also, i dont know if i want to call them and wake a sleeping beast with me with all the cld's happening. thanks
