Re: "Recent use of this account's existing credit line has been too low" Cap1

The lack of a CLI could be really anything....Capital One is the only one who has the real answer. We can speculate that we think it's usage, and maybe it is or maybe it isn't. I've gotten CLIs with them with low usage but IMO, it sounded like OP just isn't using the card enough. None of us can say for sure though. But since Cap One specifically used that as a reason for denial, it seems plausible.

All OP can do is wait and try again later, no matter what the reason is.

I charge everything on this card, and PIF why Cap1 dont like me?

Could this be it? Could Capital One be figuring that you already give them all your spend, so they have no incentive to get more of it? They would know this if your other cards are sitting at a zero balance.

As others said though, all we can do at this point is speculate.

You said, "Ive been requesting a CLI every couple days for about 3 months. I got a big purchase coming up." Doing this repeatedly with a decline repeatedly makes you look desperate. And you never want to be perceived that way.  With your scores, and depending on the number of inquires on your accounts, now may be the time to apply for a card with a good 0% offer that has the best possibility of a high limit that's not a Cap1 card.

Again, I have to agree with an excellent point.  I app'd for my QS Visa because I couldn't get a decent increase on my QS1 Mastercard.  The new card was approved with a limit more than twice my existing QS1.  A few months later when I hit the 'button' for the QS1 I got a nice $1K CLI (the previous CLI was $200).

If I were the OP, I would check the prequal site to see if there was anything there for me.  That could be the most efficient way for him/her to meet the end goal.
