response from BOA about reporting CL

I have a BOA signature cash back visa, nice CL but not reported since its a siggy

called executive office and requested that they report my CL.

got letter in the mail today, there response was that they will not report my CL for MY SAKE!

they said since im able to go over my limit that they are protecting me from a negetive showing on my CR!

you got to be kidding me, I think thats a terrible repsonse, what do you think?

Not true. Chase reports CL for Signature/World, as do a lot of other banks. BofA reports the CL for the World Mastercard, however.

Re: response from BOA about reporting CL

It is a benefit not to report the CL because this account will not affect your utilization.  FICO won't count it, so you can let whatever balance post and there will be no penalty.  If you don't like this signature benefit, you can request to downgrade your card.

Re: response from BOA about reporting CL

I understand that, but I'd like it to affect my utilization since the limit is so high(for me anyways).I won't downgrade because I'd like to have other $30k credit lines, so I'll combine them and hope CC see that I've been issued limits of $30k plus.

Re: response from BOA about reporting CL

I think you can downgrade to visa platinum and still keep your credit line.  You should call and ask them.

Re: response from BOA about reporting CL

I can downgrade and keep my credit line, but I'd rather have a $30k vs two $15k. Get me?
