Hmm, I don't have this email.
Yeah, I'm lookin' too....
@Anonymous wrote:While it's definitely not the most exciting bonus offer, it is amazing that Barclays would ever offer any bonus offers at all on a card already as generous as a Sallie Mae. Barclays may get some money back that they dispense in rewards with swipe fees, but it's definitely not 5% and certainly not 7%. (Of course, they do get money off the interest as well, but since the card itself is remarkably unheard of outside of myFICO and other credit card forums, I imagine that a disproportionately few number of Sallie Mae cardholders carry balances.) On the other hand, I suppose if the card were losing Barclays money, they would have stopped offering the card by now... In any case, if there's a card that DOESN'T need a boost in its rewards, it's the Sallie Mae.
tja..wonder if that is the reaction to Freedom/Discover 5% to make sure their card is used instead....as I am a UR junkie I will use Freedom for groceries next quarter
Wait, SM gives quarterly rewards too? $_$

No, but the bonus are capped per quarter
Sallie Mae must be one of the best cards out there now
I asked Barclay if I can do product change to Sallie they said no
So tempted to open one but my personal rule is only 1card / bank

Hmmm....how capped?
$25 per quarter in extra 2% rewards, so you get the 2% on up to $1,250 spend per quarter
