Re: the app itch...

i though only hp's for apps counted because chase only does HP CLI's as does my kohls card and home depot but dont really plan on asking for CLI's from them anytime soon. just chase.

If you want to avoid a HP, you'll have to wait until the lender decides to give you an auto CLI instead of a customer initated one.

It is very rare that Chase issues auto CLIs however they have been know to do so after good history and steady use. Requesting a CLI from Chase will result in a hard pull which will lower your credit score and remain on your report for 2 years. If you get denied there is nothing you can do. I was stupid to think that I could get a CLI on my Chase card with a CL of 1000. I thought that was too low and insulted by Chase. I waited 3 months used the card heavily and requested a CLI. Denied. Denied after recon, denied after 2nd recon. A waisted HP for sure. I did wait 8 months, called again, made sure I had used the card a good bit, and after a HP approved for 3000. I will never call again for a CLI. I will garden with Chase  and if they raise it my limit by auto that's the only my CL will get above it's current amount!
