those with USAA credit cards, i have a question

what were your approximate scores when you applied and were approved?  I am thinking of applying after a bulk of our stuff is deleted from our reports and i want to know what their wants are of me.

I got approved with USAA for a $500 CL in January of 2008.  My credit history started in Nov of 07... so I didnt even have a score and I got approved so YMMV.

USAA does'nt like Inqs, high bal on other cards get your score up to 685 to 700 get a better credit line I would'nt

waste my time until then and make sure your balances and Inq are very low. With the new credit card act comes

tougher credit standards don't waste an Inq until you got your report straight and make sure if you have a bank

account you don't have any insuffient funds history with USAA that will reject you. My daughter works for USAA

in San Antonio thats the best info I can give you.

I got approved for $ 15k CL. EQ- 753, TU- 733, EX- 734. 34% utilization and 5 inquiries in the last 12 months.

I logged into my USAA account last june, and clicked on the 'my offers' button. It said I was pre-approved for the USAA AMEX. I clicked accept, and it instantly approved me for 5k. At the time I had 4 other cc's. Cap1 750 limit, BestBuy 800 limit, Best Buy RZMC 1500 limit, and wamu visa 4250 limit. I'm not sure how often USAA does credit increases, but im coming up on a year in a few months and hope they raise it.
