verifying address for app

So I have applied for a cashRewards/BT xfer from Cap1 thru NFCU (currently have nRewards card with them) and apparently my recent purchase of a home has them jumping. I've had to send in proof of residence/identityy (bc I've been too lazy to update my last name since being married) and still waiting to hear back.  app'd on the 10th, took them (and me) 4x of sending my id light enough for them to read it.

My CR has the new address so not sure why its causing a flag. Can they still decline after receiving the documentation?

I'd hate to waste on inquiry just for them to deny me.

When I apped recently with AMEX they did the address verify and I was immediately approved after. They actually put me on a 3 way call with some merchant verify number where I typed in my BOA debit card number and they where able to verify my address that way. The whole call took about 5 minutes and the women was very nice.
