If, you ever go to wamu.com they only mention the mastercard.

Smiley Indifferent WoW!  Well, maybe Brammy is right about the Visa card being invitation only.

Brammy, aren't you in the Southeast? Don't know where I got that impression. If so, how did you get with WaMu?

Has WaMu moved into the East very much? I had never heard of it until reading these forums, but then I opted out a while back. just curious

WaMu actually has branches all over the US but their card invitations are sent out nationwide.

Re: wamu calling

Does the "invitation-only" Visa have any benefits over the "standard" MC?

From what I can see they look about the same.  I went for the invittion Visa cause at  the time the MC still had the practice of UD built into their terms and I try to stay away from UD cards sicne I had a mistake reported on my bureau once and felt the wrath of that practice.  That was one of the only reasons I ever app'd for Cap1. No UD.  Now that banks are moving away from the practice, I don't see a big difference.

Re: wamu calling

Check your WAMU disclosure in the recent statement-

WAMU has eliminated UD for issues with other creditors.

Re: wamu calling

Ok - I checked all of the common abbreviations and user guides - what is UD?  Can't find it anywhere.  I'm sure when you tell me I should probably have been able to guess.  Oh well - I'm stumped!

Re: wamu calling

Believe that's what I just said though I would not have recieved that disclosure since my card never have that particular practice. Or at least was trying to say.  As in there's not much difference now BUT when I app'd over a year ago the MC still had UD terms.

Isn't that the lovely deal where, if you are late on one card, all the others (who do UD) gang up on you by raising their rates, too?
