freedom which is the last card i want in my arsenal.
they told me i didnt have enough revolving credit and would need at least 1 year. but that was months ago when i only had a capital one card reporting.
i figure maybe ill wait till my discover reports a higher limit and then possibly try again, unless that is irrelevant to me being accepted.
If you were declined 2 months ago, I wouldn't try for them again for a few more months. Have you considered trying for the Citi Dividend?
yes, i have a preapproval. but i dont know if it makes sense to take another hp and lower my aaoa again when i eventually want the chase chard.
i didnt do a recon last time with chase. and it was october 15th, before i got my bce and discover reporting.. would it be harmful to try again?
I honestly found that the Citi Dividend overlapped less than the Chase Freedom with the Discover, and personally, I'd much rather deal with Citi and Discover than Chase. Citi also gave me 4x the CL of Chase, too. Just my opinion.
i guess maybe having both wouldnt be terrrible and if citi gives me a decent limit it might help my chances at a sapphire.
hmm, maybe ill pull the trigger on citi.

Let us know how it goes .
would it hurt to try for chase again as well. or just hold off for another few months or so?
i still dont get how ive been approved for every other lender but them.
is it typical that they are the hardest to get in with? im tempted to try my luck with a recon with them if unaccepted.

They gave me the worst APR they offered, and they won't negotiate APR. They also HP for CLI. I've also had better customer service than Chase from all of my other lenders. I'm not sure why everyone is crazy about Chase on these boards. I'd much rather have any other card (except FirstPremier, CreditOne, CapitalOne, or any other rebuilder card I'm not thinking of at the moment) over Chase.
To answer your question though, I think they can be finicky as to who they'll take. Again, not sure why since I'm much happier with my other lenders.
