does the card have to post a ballance to be considerd usage? meaning if i pay it off before the statement ends is that still consider using it? i dont want the buero or the cc company to close it down.
Kind of depends on whom you want to SEE your usage.
If your concern is the CC issuer, then just use the card every month and pay it off whenever you want.
If you want your credit reports to show usage, then you'll need to follow the above posters advice and let a balance report.

You need clarify what you're asking. A creditor doesn't need to refer to reports to determine your usage with accounts you hold with that creditor. You can have 0 balances report with a given creditor and they can see whatever activity was on those accounts via their own internal systems.
If you're referring to other creditors reviewing usage then they definitely need to see the evidence on your reports since they don't have access to account activity with other creditors (e.g. Chase can't see AmEx card activity as they don't have access to AmEx's systems and they have to rely on what's on your reports for your AmEx accounts).

The credit bureaus can't close your accounts so no worries there.
