I got a pre approvasl letter in the mail today, which CB do they pull from? Also, does anyone know when do cc's report to the CB, around what date? I just paid 1/2 off on 2 cc & paid off 1 cc this week, maybe I should wait till end of month to do the pre approval?
This is the same card I want to app for. Are you a member, do you have any other AMEX? BTW, they have their own formular, but it is pulled with Experian...
Amex always pulls EX first, and if not ok will pull one of the other two. CCs generally report a couple days after closing date unless the bank does double cycle billing and it will report about 2 weeks after closing date as well. BofA and US Bank typically report twice a month.
yes, I am a member & I dont have any AMEX cards, the offer expires on 1/17/12, maybe I should wait until my 3 cards report my payment & the PIF. I want to do this right & get approved, I always wanted a AMEX. My EX is my lowest score, EQ being my highest...hmmmm.
And what may your score be....Do you really want the card? I come here to get advice and recommendations, but never for approval. View yourself as a company wanting to do business with AMEX/Citi/ and others. If there is a reply by deadline, give CSR a call and inquire more info. Again, do you really want the card? If they say declined, ok, it wont be an inquiry on your report. If it is approved, you have a card and an inquiry. I apped for Zync, was approved. I felt good and apped for BCP and Gold PR. Declined and cancel app, but no inquires. For what it worth...
not sure what my Fico EX is, never did a lender pull, but EQ 644 TU 667 (My Fico) yes, I do really want that card, always wanted an AMEX, is the zync easier to qualify?
I app for the Zync with a score of 701 Experian (AMEX provide the score) EQ - 636, and TU of 686 in Oct. I could have took a chance with going for green or gold, but I went with Zync and I am glad with the decision. It is a nice looking card, AF is $25.00, I heard it was easy, so that is why I app for it. However, I also heard others tried and had a set limit of $500 or $250 with card tied to the bank. I have the NPSL, although I wont be able to use it for a down payment at the Mercedes Benz dealership (just
kidding), but if I was a gambling man, I would say I may run into issues to charge something like 2k and up on it. I am using my card to entertain clients, (lunch, dinner, and wine tasting events). Shoot for the Zync and the TR in one shot, and it count for 1 inquiry, so I have read here on myfico.
Decision, decision, decision....
Amex has always pulled EX only for me
They have always pulled EX for me too - and I am in Minnesota.
