Those blokes bill me for as little as $0.01, and no billpay service (that I know of) allows you to send such a small payment so I usually don't have a choice.  I mean without say buying a $0.99 Amazon gift card first or something.  Easier to just send them a buck.  I was just wondering what the exact trigger was, because this was the first time I've heard of this Chase trick.  Handy for those ltitle emergencies.

For the Chase trick to work, does it have to be exactly $0.00 or can you overpay by a buck and still trigger the mid-cycle update?

try it out ?  I have never paid more than the actual balance on a Chase card but would think it would also work and report 0 balance with a negative balance (but just a guess)

Why do you need a bill pay service to pay them and not just pay via their online payment process?  They'll accept $.01 there.

Thanks. One more... Home Depot/Citibank?

And do they or others do it on request only if you've paid to zero? Or if you've paid any sort of payment and request it?

Re: which CCC allow mid-cycle update requests?

Once Chase is paid to zero triggering a mid cycle update, how long should someone wait to use the card again to ensure they update? Maybe a day or two?
