I wanna know what the score bump is. This should be interesting.
CWCIS - I had three amex accounts re-aged last year the results were TU +14, EQ +16, EX +14. It helped balance all the new accounts (7) I opened March-May 2008.
I don't expect too much:
For TU my oldest acct increased from 18.9 to 22.5 yrs, and my AAoA increased from 11.2 to 11.7 (so still 11 yrs, rounded down)
For EQ, my oldest acct went from 17.1 to 22.5 yrs, and my AAoA increased from 7.1 to 8.3 yrs
For EX, oldest only increased about 3 months, and AAoA up from 11.6 to 12.2 yrs
(These take into account every TL on my report. The re-aging increased my longest open account by about 12.5 yrs).
I'll post back after I pull my scores and report.

Mike,
You may see a significant bump. I believe Physic saw a large jump when his oldest account reached 19 years. This correlates with the comments I get stating that on average high achievers oldest account is 19 years old.
Keep us informed.
Cheers
Not yet, but I will keep trying!

I called the number, got transferred to Card Replacement and spoke to a CSR that said I could fax him the page of my current Experian credit report showing the old AMEX accounts (with the 'Date Opened' clearly showing 1987), and he would re-age my Member Since Date back to that! I've faxed the page with a cover letter about 30 mins later, and will let everyone know if this time is the lucky charm!
writemikep,
I followed your suggestion and tried again. This time I got the same response as you. I faxed my credit report to them this afternoon with the old amex account highlighted. Now I wait to see if I have the same luck as you. It will be really nice to have my 2008 member since data reaged to 1993.
Thanks again for the info and encouragement to keep trying!! I will keep you informed how this turns out.
Cheers!
cobaltnv,
I'm keeping my fingers crossed. In my case, it took three days before I got the email notification from Card Replacement, and that's when I logged into my AMEX account online and saw the new Member Since date at the top.
Hope it works.
