SUCCESS!! I just logged into my amex account and it is already showing the member since date as 1993. It took them less than 3 hours to update--impressive.
Thanks again writemikep for your help.
Cheers

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. In my case, it took three days before I got the email notification from Card Replacement, and that's when I logged into my AMEX account online and saw the new Member Since date at the top.
Hope it works.
Congrats!
The potential to make this happen is the only reason I have any interest in ever having another AMEX product. My original AMEX Gold Card was opened in 1978! Unfortunately I think I am barred for life. They still soft me all the time though - and I mean all the time! Methinks they never forget!
Good Job!
I love my Amex accounts and so do my AU's. I have six 20 y/o cards that I opened within the last couple years. Amex does not seem to close you down for no use either as I have never charged one thing on any of them.

Are these all cards with an AF? Are they no-limit charge or CL cards?
If they are no preset and have an AF, then they probably love you. No risk, you pay your AF and they don't have any specific CL they are obliged to.

No, I don't do annual fees. I had one card (Delta) that had an annual fee after the first year (waived for the first year). When it came due I called them and did a product change to Blue Cash. I did have Green and Gold which I cancelled after the first year since they didn't want to waive the fee again. At one time I had nine Amex cards open, now I have six. Al my current cards are revolving products with credit limits. I have never used any of them. They don't seem to care. I wish they would close some of them so I could reapply and get more age.

Thanks cwcid, I am pretty excited about this reaging. The member since feature alone makes AMEX desirable.
When you say you are barred for life I assume you had a CO with AMEX or something? Hopefully you can get back with them at some point.
Cheers
Congrats cobaltnv! I think we were the last two holdouts...
I'm pulling TU and EQ FICO on Wednesday (as well as TC 3-in-1 report). Will report any changes.
