Went back and looked at my letter. No conversion to Visa, BUT, there is a blurb that it may not transfer over and Come with will reach out about servicing of card.

Hmmm I was under the impression you had the WS Visa, no? (based on the CCs displayed in your signature). Unless, you're referring to the Pottery Barn or West Elm store cards (not sure if you have/had those).

Re: Capital One to be new issuer of Williams Sonoma cards

I am in the middle of obtaining a mortgage and could be going through underwriting right around this time. Does anyone know what I can expect to happen? Will my current account close and a new account open on my credit report?

Re: Capital One to be new issuer of Williams Sonoma cards

Warning to all cardholders! Comenity has cancelled all autopay on WS cards. I logged into my PB account today after recieving the letter from C1 yesterday. This just happened to be my due date and I noticed the autopay option was missing and the on file bank account info was also gone. I have had this account on autopay since taking a 0% 12 month offer 4 months ago. I contacted a csr at Comenity and she was not aware of autopays getting cancelled as part of the transition but told me I should add my bank account info back and make a one time payment. I then checked my West Elm and same deal! Check your autopays on all WS acounts!

Re: Capital One to be new issuer of Williams Sonoma cards

Received another email update from Comenity this morning with header:

"A new card program is on the way"

for my 2.5-year-old Williams-Sonoma Visa, detailing the various changes to expect when the switch to Capital One takes effect and the new card can be used starting August 23, according to this email.

The email states that

(1) any autopay settings will be cancelled and you can reset them starting August 20 for autopay to resume starting August 23.

(2) there will be a payment blackout from August 20-22, when online payments cannot be accepted.

(3) payment due dates will be changed.

In the tiny footnote it also says: "Balance transfer will not be available on your account."

Well, phooey. The hope of a BT offer (as others here have received) is the whole reason why I opened this account. A couple months into Covid 2020, I asked a CSR about that possibility and was told BTs "are not being offered at this time." Generally I don't have much need for W-S purchases because for many years I was an independent contractor for W-S, during which time I completely outfitted my kitchen to my heart's content. Mostly I use the card only when I receive my annual birthday gift certificates. I wonder if Capital One will continue that benefit?

Has anyone else received this email w/ the BT footnote?

Yes, I got the same email, with the no BT wording.

Re: Capital One to be new issuer of Williams Sonoma cards

My new W-S Visa card arrived today, along with info about the revised Key Rewards structure. When the new cards are activated August 23, grocery stores and restaurants will earn 4%, woo-hoo!

Re: Capital One to be new issuer of Williams Sonoma cards

Has anyone not received their new card yet (store card)? Wondering if this means my card is not transferring over, however not sure why that would be the case as it's always been in good standing.
