And we have no choice in the matter... They get to collect, store and decimate our information because they make it their business too.

Even for all the time, money, and effort that Experian, the other CRA's, and banks spend on security, it still is half-assed .

I need to keep reminding myself that nothing online is ever 100% secure. I expect an institution that deals with private information to be extra cautious, but I also know that the IRS had a problem with ID scammers using stolen information to get tax refunds.

As of 10-31-18 this flaw has still not been fixed.
