0 Intro APR and a high credit limit

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone knows what banks in general have reputation for giving large initial credit lines? I have a decent credit score (e.g., Equifax 750). My income is quite above average. What I want to do is to open a credit card with 0% Into APR with hopefully reasonably high initial credit line (around 8K-10K). Does anyone know which bank I should be considering? Any recommendations are highly appreciated.

Thanks!

GM

What score is that? What is your income? How is your credit history?

Cannot answer your question without more detail.

Do you have any credit cards now? If so, from which bank(s), for how long, and what CL?

Income or no, I don't know of any banks that will give you a big CL right out of the gate, unless you have some sort of business relationship with one, where they already know you and your habits and reliability.

I could very well be wrong, of course. Smiley Happy

Re: 0 Intro APR and a high credit limit

Thanks for your reply! It's Equifax's credit score, not FICO. To be exact it is 739 as of now. My income is around 82K. Credit history is very good, without any major events.

Re: 0 Intro APR and a high credit limit

Yes, I have a number of cards. For example,
Capital One, 7.5K credit limit
FIA Card Services, 8K limit
BoA, 7.5K credit limit
Chase, 2 cards, 3.5K and 7.5K limit
AMEX, 2 cards, both 1.5K
I never carry any balance, and always pay in full.
My goal is to get a card with zero APR and high limit. The goal is to load it up now, and pay it off within 6 months or so.

P.S. I had most of these cards for 3-5 years.

If you qualify for Navy Federal Credit Union ( NFCU ) you would most likely get a very nice CL upon approval.   They recently had a 12 months 0%/ 0 fees BT offer.

You may already be aware of it but the proprietary "Equifax Credit Score" sold by EQ is not used by any lenders.

Equifax will still sell you a FICO score found here: www.equifax.com/web-myfico-products/

Or you can purchase your TU and/or EQ FICO's here.

Might we ask why?
