1 point 4 CA gone

I just had 4 CA removed and my score only went up 1 point.
Did I do something wrong? Did someone forget to do something at EQ.
Shouldn't it have gone up higher?

Re: 1 point 4 CA gone

Do you have any other collections/baddies on your CR? And if so, how many?

Re: 1 point 4 CA gone

9 CO and 1 CA 2 CC opened in 06 and never late and a paid auto loan through a CRU
BTW all CO's were from 2002 and 2003 with a repo on a truck that I cosigned for that was never offered to me to take over by GMAC in 2006 (I would have taken over the notes and the truck if they would have let me know it was to be repoed)

Garrett, let's try and be more positive and supportive. I'm reasonably sure if it were as simple as "paying your bills" she would have done so.

Nuking a collection or even multiple collections and charge-offs won't necessarily boost your credit score. If you have, let's say five COs, and you hit #3 and #4, you won't gain much. Why? Because COs decay with time, and FICO scoring looks hardest at your most recent baddie. You get a small boost for having fewer delinquent/negative accounts, but for your score to really change, you should gun for the most recent CO.
