2 CA reporting same thing?!?

Here is the Story. I had a Juniper Bank CC that was charged-off and then taken over to LHR inc.  After reviewing my TU report I see that JTL inc is now reporting the LHR acount, while the LHR account says its still open. Can they do this? What can I do about it. This is how it appears in my report.

JTL Inc, Loan type-Collection Agency Attorney,balance $1495, Date updated 10/07, Org bal $1458, Org Creditor LHR Inc, Past due $1495, Pay Status-Collection Account, Account Type- Open, Responsibility-Individual Account

LHR Inc, Loan type-Factoring Company Account,balance $1314, Date updated 10/07, Org bal $953, Org Creditor 08 Juniper Bank, Past due $1118, Pay status-Collection Account, Account type- Open, Responsibility-Individual Account

Looks like LHR owns the debt and JTL is a CA.
I would send a DV to JTL

first contact Juniper and see if they still have your account. If they do ask them to send you a complete account history!  Do you have any idea when that account was CO...when you stopped paying it?

What is your SOL?    IF you think that you are past SOL...DV both CAs reporting.

If not past SOL  be ready to pay all or part of what is due.
