Agreed. As I recall it's a 2 week period for car loans, 4 for mortgages.

But as I'm told landlord inqs don't really effect your score.
That's b/c they are supposed to be soft inqs. But, if they are hard inqs they could affect the score.

True, but my understanding was it doesn't effect your score much since it's not an application for credit. It's the landlord checking to see if you pay your bills or not.
