2 More collections to go, need advice

Guys, I am down to the very last baddies and would appreciate the advice. Two CA are on my reports, both 3-4 years ago, paid, ridiculous situations. One is AT+T wireless, the other SBC California (now also AT+T). I hate AT+T for many other reasons, but the paid collections are $ 84 and $278 Dollars. My residential and business lines at my home office (2 lines) are AT+T and as to my wireless carries, I will Never, Ever go back to AT+T. SBC used a collection agency (Palisades) and AT+T wireless not. Under what reasoning would a GW letter make sense, if any? What argumentation? To whom? The CA or the Creditor? Thanks all for your good advice you have given me in the past couple of months.

Re: 2 More collections to go, need advice

I would start with GW's and see what happens...see this post below I wrote not too long ago re an AT&T paid collection....

I sent a GW to AT&T re a 3 yo paid collection of $200.   A nice lady called me up yesterday and said that since AT&T bought out the local phone company, my record of that Paid Collection had been purged from the system, it no longer exists.  She said go ahead and dispute with the CRA's and when they can't confirm it will be deleted from my records.  What a nice lady

Since I posted that above, that old Phone Co. paid collection has been removed from my EQ report, and I'm waiting on TU.  Give it a shot, you never know.  Good Luck!
