More of my 2008 goals:

• Get DW interested enough in credit monitoring that she doesn't shriek at the top of her lungs anytime I ask her to make a phone call or review and sign a letter
• Solve world hunger--tell no one
• Develop and build a generator connection for DW's treadmill Christmas present that is so efficient the 10 minutes a week she spends on it will power the whole house
• Master advanced rope pushing

Being lazy, I'll probably only do the last 3.

Hi everyone: 

2007 Triumph:  FINDING THIS FORUM.  I pulled my credit reports and found that I was only $6,000 in debt and not in way over my head and thanks to the information and advice on this forum I know there is a way out and up.

2007 Disappointments:  There were many but I learned something from each of them so no looking back.

In 2008 I want to:

get my scores in the 600's

not apply for any more credit

pay in full all charge offs (2-credit cards) and collection accounts (5-medical)

pay my Visa and Mastercard in full each month

and most importantly, BE DEBT FREE BY DECEMBER

Triumphs

Fico score of 750 attained in 2007

Dissapointments

Managed to end up with 17,800 in debt on a 3 credit cards total

These accounts are not maxed out( 30% of max credit line)

2008 Goal

Pay off the 3 credit cards I have balances on.

800 Fico score club

Pay off my car by April
