3 hard inqurys for a total of 5 points

Applied for Amex,Citi and Chase last night and all 3 hit experian and chase also hit transunion.  Nothing on equifax. Anyways 3 hard inquirys for a loss of 5 points. Guess that  is pretty good isn't it ?  When I first started credit building the hits was more heavy. I was surprised that only cost me 5 points.

I lost 17 points on TU with 2 accounts.  But in a few months it'll be like it never happened.

OP, what was your AAoA before the 3 new accounts and what is your AAoA going to be once the 3 new accounts are factored in?

It's never just about the change itself but one's credit profile as well.  Generally speaking, thicker profiles in good standing won't see as much of an impact as profiles that are thin and/or have issues.

+1  For established profiles in good standing HP's are a small factor despite how many seem to obsess over them around here and on other credit sites.  However, they're not the only factor that matters.  The impact to AAoA, and having new accounts also have an impact.  Again though, impact will depend on credit profile.  One who has an AAoA with a lot of well aged accounts won't see as much of a hit to AAoA as one with fewer and younger accounts.

No idea.  Not only does it depend on your credit profile but the specific scoring model as well.  Don't assume that FICO 8 or any one other model is the only scoring model used by creditors.  Don't assume that all scoring models evaluate report data and changes the same way.

Not bad only losing 5 overall points. The key after those.cards report will me making sure you do everything right to gain the points back. Then eventually, depending on your situation, those new accounts can help your profile.

Not bad!  did you start from 0 Inq?  I have had 2 inq that had no chang, but once I got another a day later I dropped 8.  I think it depends on the thresholds etc.
