30 days late

I see that a 30 days late on an account will disapprear in 7 years from the missed payment...supposedly.  Is this accurate?  has anyone ever seen it come off easily or do you have to fight for it?

Thanks!

Re: 30 days late

After the 7 years is up, you can dispute as "obsolete" directly with the credit bureaus.

By law, it cannot report later than 7-7.5 yrs. Usually they fall of very easily by (and before) then. You can also get it removed prior to that point.

Thank you for answering!  I have one from August 2002, I will be keeping my eye on it to finally disappear!  and if it doesn't, do i contact the credit card company or the three credit bureaus?
