Is there a way to know what your BNI score is or does that only come up during something specific?

Unfortunately, the only scores you can get that are in use are the FICO scores from this site (TU also available from one of their sites, and EQ sells FICO scores, too, but they're both the same version available here), PFICO (WaMu's Providian FICO, which is a bankcard FICO generally based on TU) and a FICO from WaMu when you have a HELOC.

Some lenders apparently use Vantage Scoring, which is also available. Prosper uses an EX Plus Score derivative.

Here is an EQ site that lists some of their products that we don't have access to: https://www.creditforecast.com/marketing.asp

Re: 4th credit score?

Thank you for that. So simply put, there is no way to really see the BNI specifically unless its part of a process where they pull it or calculate it and maybe you can ask for it, right? Just want to make sure I got it right.

I didn't even know there was such a thing till today's discussion, so I am just curious about it. Thanks.

Re: 4th credit score?

I think the only time where lenders are required to give you the scores they used is during a mortgage. I don't think they would run a BNI during that kind of underwriting. In other cases they're unlikely to show you the number if they happen to pull it.

ETA: This page makes it sound like the BNI would be primarily used during account reviews.

To provide this new level of detail for the mortgage market, Mortgage MRI segments zip-level data by vintage, loan type and first mortgage payment status. Once the data is segmented, Mortgage MRI leverages leading indicators and scoring models, including VantageScore® and Equifax’s Bankruptcy Navigator Index® (BNI) to analyze credit risk and the likelihood of a certain borrower profile filing for bankruptcy over the next 24 months. The results are then aggregated and provided to subscribers of this tool.

Re: 4th credit score?

I didn't say or think they must disclose it, I was just curious when they would have it so that you can ask or know when they will look at it. The context I guess.
