I paid all my CCs to $0, leaving my 0% store card with $50 on it. I used the share secure loan strategy with NFCU. The $40 loan balance just reported and EX jumped 39 points! Then today, the loan reported to TU and it jumped 30 points!. EQ was already my highest so I don't know what will happen when the loan reports. I'm just happy to be over 700 in all three. It's been a slog. 

Now I need to get my middle mortgage score up. It's 700 as of 3/27/17

Congratulations Threeof5 nice job with your SSL at NFCU!!! If you don't mind me asking, what is the name of the loan? I will need to do this as I don't have any open installment loans, thank you in advance!

They call it a Pledge Loan, but it operates the same way as the share secured loan. I went to a branch, applied, signed two pages and then they gave me a $500 check. I waited one day and then paid it down to $40 and it reported at the end of the month. I set up auto pay for $8 for the remaining balance. The only downside is the $500 loan is for six months.
