80 point score drop! Grrrr!

I went from a high of 739 to a lowly 660. Why? Well, I got a new card with Chase @ 0% interest for a year that is maxed out(had to make some big purchases at once) but i will have it paid off in a year. Second, I disputed some lates with Sallie Mae that were showing up on Transunion and Experian but were NOT showing up on Equifax, because they had me as being late 12 times in 3 months and I was like how in the heck can you be late 12 times in 3 months when there is just one due date per month. Well when I called they said that I had 3 separate loans(this is an old loan so I couldn't remember the specifics), and my once a month payment of 120 bucks was dispersed to those 3 loans. So now, these 12 lates from 05' have now appeared on Equifax which dropped my score. The dispute also dropped my score at Exp and TU, something I don't understand, but oh well. Also 4 inquiries when I was shopping for 0% rate.

I just had to rant. It's a good thing I won't be needing any more credit cards for at least a year! lol

Good morning Peggy - Don't sweat... The score will come up DRAMATICLY as you pay the balance down.  And makes no difference unless you plan on applying for new credit over the next few months.

It was the right move to save on the interest.

Yeah, but I'm kicking myself for disputing with Sallie Mae since my lates were not even showing up on Equifax until I disputed and then all of a sudden they must of realized that they did not report it to Equifax and then boom! there it was! And I still can't get over the fact that they show me as being late 12 times in 3 months!
